Update: Spec Blew production launches!
We debuted our 2015 model at the Twin Cities Auto Show. Spec Blew is the most direct link to the car that started it all for 311RS, Ryan’s personal 2008 Time Attack Evo X, which at this point is affectionately known as “ol’ Blew”…
In that time we’ve taken Spec Blew from concept to reality through validation testing and further developing the relationships between the technical partners that make this all a reality and ourselves. The process from concept to reality is a complicated one. It requires teamwork, creativity, and most of all good old-fashioned hard work. Three of our favorite things.
With that, we’re happy to announce the 2015 311RS Spec Blew Evo X has passed through the process and we’ve approved it for production. Those who have placed pre-orders will now move onto the production process with us.
As was announced, 311RS Spec Blew is available in all of Mitsubishi’s factory colors for the Evo X. We’ve got a few Octane Blue units in the pipeline, but that is not all. We’ve taken orders for Apex Silver, Wicked White, and even Phantom Black. John Player Special color scheme anyone!? I think so.
For those who are holding out for Mitsubishi’s Final Edition Evo X, sorry to say this but what disappointment the spec list is for that car. I’m sure you’re like me and you were bracing for disappointment, but the reality of it is never easy. That said, it’s our goal to provide as many Evo X owners as possible with a truly special car.
